Cookies
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a web page, among other things, to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their computer and, depending on the information they contain and the way in which your computer uses them, they can be used to recognize the user.
What types of cookies do we use?
Next, we will classify cookies according to several categories. However, it should be borne in mind that the same cookie can be included in more than one category.
Category 1.
Depending on the identity that the computer manages, we can differentiate:
Own cookies: these are those that are sent to the user’s device managed exclusively by us for the best functioning of the website.
Third-party cookies: These are those that are sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain that is not managed by us, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
Category 2.
Depending on the length of time that the cookies are active, they can be:
Session cookies: designed to obtain and store data while the user accesses the website. They are usually used to store information that is only of interest to keep for the provision of the service requested by the user in a single session (for example, a list of products purchased).
Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookie in which the data continues to be stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period of time. They have an expiration date. They are used, for example, in the purchase or registration process to avoid having to constantly enter personal data.
Category 3.
According to their purpose, there are:
Registration cookies: when the user accesses a web page and starts a session, a temporary cookie is installed so that the browser can navigate the user area without having to constantly enter data.
Analysis cookies: they are used to study the behavior of users anonymously when browsing our website. This way we can know the most viewed content, the number of visitors, etc. This information will be used to improve the browsing experience and optimize our services. They can be our own, but also from third parties. Among the latter are Google Analytics cookies
